Where to find Pokemon in Sheffield?

If you have not been living under a rock the past few days you will have probably noticed that Pokemon Go was released for Android and iOS devices. It has been a huge success! You will see swarms of people gathering around odd parts of the town and screaming! Everyone is hooked on this game and it promotes a nice little bit of fitness to keep us all in check. The game was released just a little a few weeks ago to worldwide acclaim with only a few countries left waiting for it’s release. Thankfully us Brits have a had time to play on it on iOS and Android devices! So we thought we would help you with a list of places where to find Pokemon in Sheffield.
Plus, with it’s release and our staff’s general nerdy-ness we’re offering a 10% discount to all trainers level 10 and above! All you have to do is stop by and prove you’re a Pokemon trainer!
So as our staff members have been busy playing away and catching our favourite Pokemon (mine’s ‘Haunter’, just so that you’re aware) We decided to put a little guide together on where around Sheffield is best to hunt Pokemon, train Pokemon and claim Gyms for your chosen team!

Moor Market

Low on pokeballs or potions? Wandering the Moor Market is a great way to stock up! With multiple pokestops and a gym the Moor Market is a great place to catch some Pokemon! The busy streets also provide a lot of interaction with other trainers be on the lookout for rival teams! Don’t let them catch before you do!

Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens is a great area to hunt Grass or Flying type Pokemon. With it’s lovely scenery and peaceful atmosphere, these gardens are a great spot to hunt Pokemon! We’d also advise you go with friends and enjoy a lovely picnic to go along with your Pokemon hunt!

Crucible

The Crucible is the first of our city Pokemon hunting locations with numerous pokestops to keep you stocked up. Even more reason to come here is that the Crucible is a Gym! Around the area is a lot of seating for you to keep battling and Pokemon hunting even while you’re on a break!

West Street

Thanks to the genius creators of the the game, bars and pubs are also Pokemon hotspots and geolocations! The busy streets are full of Pokemon Trainers, Gyms and pokestops for your Pokemon hunting needs! Stock up on those pokeballs!

Peace gardens

Now let’s get back to easy and relaxed Pokemon hunting. With it’s beautiful water features and grassy seating areas, Peace Gardens is a great way to unwind after the hustle and bustle of fighting in the city centre Pokemon Gyms. This area is one of the best locations of the city as many people visit and place lure modules here!

Sheffield Train Station

Another location on our Sheffield Pokemon crawl that is housed with a very powerful gym. Trainers from far and wide compete in this gym with leaders and teams changing constantly, sometimes we’ve noticed a change every hour! The station also provide the usual amount of Pokestops along with a few water based Pokemon thanks to the iconic water feature outside as well as the occasional rare find.

Ecclesall Road

Ecclesall Road provides Pokemon trainers with a long stretch of road filled with numerous pokestops along the way. If you want to spend time stocking up on balls, potions and berries this is by far the best area for this in Sheffield. You could also get your egg incubators going and blast out some kilometres while you’re at it!

Sharrow Vale Road Route

One thing I have particularly notice on my Pokemon hunt through Sheffield is that the Sharrow Vale area provides Pokemon trainers everything they could wish for using Pokemon Go! This area is one of the best for Pokestops with one on nearly every corner of a street! There are also plenty of gyms to fight over as well as rest area to catch Pokemon!
